The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Systems Engineer to support a key MoD supplier for our client. This role is ideal for a pragmatic, confident self-starter who thrives in complex, evolving environments and brings broad experience delivering advanced systems to defence customers.

So, what will you be doing as a Systems Engineer?

• Lead and support the development and delivery of formal engineering documentation in line with defence and customer requirements.
• Engage directly with the customer in proactively raising and managing issues such as scope changes or technical concerns.
• Navigate and manage ambiguity in system requirements, architecture, and integration phases.
• Ensure systems engineering best practices are applied throughout the project lifecycle.

What are we looking for in our next Systems Engineer?

• Have a proven track record delivering complex systems into defence clients.
• Strong systems engineering background, with hands-on experience writing and managing formal technical documentation.
• Able to operate confidently and diplomatically when challenging scope increases or ambiguous requests.
• Comfortable working autonomously in fast-moving environments.
