Facilities Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity to join ISS on a well-established account, supporting a critical site through the efficient running of key plant assets including air compressors, boilers, vacuum pumps, water systems and air conditioning systems.
You will play a vital role in ensuring all critical alarms or defects are escalated and resolved promptly, while completing all CAFM tasks assigned to you within agreed KPIs.
These tasks will include the collection of chemical waste, both scheduled and reactive, as well as general site support activities.
Job Description
A key responsibility will be the monitoring and safe management of all waste storage facilities, ensuring clear identification, correct segregation and compliance with safety standards.
You will escalate any issues and maintain a clean, compliant waste environment.
This hands-on role offers a chance to be part of a supportive and experienced team, in a fast-paced and important environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with service excellence delivery across all service lines, supporting implementation of ISS key concepts
- Positively influence and strengthen customer relationships at all levels
- Work with the engineering supervisor to identify and implement service improvements
- Support site management in enhancing processes and customer service
- Actively participate in hazard reduction initiatives and raise near miss reports
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills, numerate and literate
- Must be self-motivated, safety-focused, and act with integrity and professionalism
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabric maintenance tasks
- General facilities assistance experience desirable
- Strong all-round handyman skills
- Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Practical knowledge of tools, materials, and safe working practices
- Flexible and reliable approach to varied building maintenance duties
