Location: Premier League, Brunel Building, 57 North Wharf Road, London, W2 1HQ

Work setting: Hybrid – 3 days/week on-site

The Premier League’s Digital Media team is seeking a Digital Analyst to support the growing demand for actionable insights across the League’s digital platforms.

The Premier League’s digital media channels play a crucial role in expanding the global reach of their competition, increasing engagement among football fans, and supporting their member Clubs, broadcast licensees, and commercial partners. This new role will contribute directly to the League’s digital strategy by providing high-quality analysis and reporting across platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring a background in digital data or analytics, a strong sense of ownership, exceptional attention to detail, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

The Premier League brings people together from all backgrounds. It is a competition for everyone, everywhere and is available to watch in 900 million homes in 189 countries.

They have a wide variety of responsibilities. These include organising the competition and its Rule Book as well as managing the centralised broadcast and commercial rights. The work they do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. They support and provide a framework for youth development, they protect the organisation’s intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

The role

This exciting new role will be an important addition to the Digital Product & Marketing team, which oversees all Premier League digital media products, including Fantasy Premier League, and the Premier League’s first-party database.

As a Digital Analyst, you will help track and evaluate performance across key digital functions — Operated (social media), Owned (website and app), and Direct (fan data). You’ll work alongside internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver clear, impactful insights that shape strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Data & Analytics Manager to compile, clean, and organise datasets from various sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reporting outputs and data pipelines.
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and a suite of regular reports to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse user acquisition, behaviours, and engagement across the Premier League’s digital platforms and key channels.
  • Analyse digital campaigns, helping to measure performance and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Support the development of audience segmentation models and contribute to targeted audience building for campaigns and personalised experiences.
  • Assist in the growth of the Premier League’s first-party data, contributing to data acquisition and CRM integration efforts.
  • Support the development of attribution models to assess the impact of channels, campaigns, and touchpoints on user conversion and engagement.
  • Provide insights to support the League’s social media reach, audience segmentation, and fan targeting strategies.
  • Use data to identify opportunities for optimisation, feeding into the experimentation roadmap, in collaboration with the CRO Manager and Product Managers.
  • Deliver insights and reporting to support commercial partnerships.
  • Contribute to market and competitor benchmarking to contextualise performance and inform strategic planning.
  • Champion the use and value of data-informed insights throughout the business.

Requirements for the role

  • Strong affinity for digital data and analytics.
  • Experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Experience Platform, including Adobe RT-CDP and CJA.
  • Experience with Power BI, or a similar BI tool.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data.
  • Understanding of attribution modelling.
  • High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves for the role

  • Understanding of Google Tag Manager (GTM) or Adobe Launch.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and data integration processes.
  • Exposure to personalisation, CRM platforms or segmentation strategies.
  • Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation methodologies. Optimizely experience an advantage.
  • A passion for or strong interest in football and sport.
