Start Up Hiring Quant Developer / C++/ Python

Start up backed by a multi-billion family office is recruiting a quant developer.

Role:

The role involves:

1. Contributing to the development of technology and automation of routine tasks.
2. Improving execution/alphas through backtesting/analysis.
3. Assisting in the deployment and verification of upgrades to the production environment’s technical infrastructure, including custom trading applications and market data distribution systems.
4. Onboarding and organizing new data sets.
5. Launching new strategies and models.
6. Learning, testing, and implementing new technologies, with a focus on open source solutions.
7. Proactively managing monitoring alerts and developing the monitoring platform.
8. Providing support for technical issues.
9. Designing and implementing trading infrastructure, building data analytics tools, or developing real-time execution strategies.
10. Working on complex computational and data-related problems and implementing efficient solutions.
11. Building tools and engines to enhance data analysis and workflow improvements.
12. Supporting post-trade activities for effective clearing and accurate record-keeping.
13. Developing and maintaining systems, including Linux servers, databases, and storage solutions.

Requirements:

1. Significant programming experience and a passion for solving complex problems through programming.
2. A love for coding that aims for real-world impact.
3. Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with practical application skills.
4. Strong communication skills and clear articulation of ideas.
5. Self-directed with effective time management across multiple projects.
6. Honest, reliable, and prideful of work.
7. Enthusiastic, eager to develop skills, and receptive to new ideas.
8. Flexible and adaptable, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
9. Experience working in a Linux environment with C++ and Python; familiarity with grid computing is a plus but not essential.

Ideally, candidates will hold a strong undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline from a top-tier university.
