We are seeking a CAD Technician (AutoCAD) to join the food retail team at Steve Ritchie Partnership, an experienced, client-focused international team of architects based in East London (near Aldgate East Tube Station).
Known for its practical and thoughtful approach to design, SRP delivers innovative, enduring, and commercially viable buildings across sectors such as Commercial, Retail, Masterplanning, Mixed Use, Residential, Office, & Industrial.
This opportunity is ideal for an AutoCAD Technician with a keen eye for detail to contribute to fast-moving food retail Store Planning projects. You will work alongside architects and technicians to translate data-driven insights into precise, efficient, and commercially viable store layouts. Using AutoCAD and Excel, you will produce accurate 2D drawings and data sheets to refine floor plans, optimize customer flow, and ensure layouts meet operational requirements, brand standards, and UK building regulations.
This role offers a friendly and collaborative workplace within a structured and supportive environment. Prior store planning experience isn’t necessary, as training will be provided.
Key Requirements: You should be a versatile, attentive, and organized professional with a CV highlighting:
- At least 2 years’ industry experience in the UK as an AutoCAD Technician.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.
- Experience working on live projects and collaborating across disciplines.
- Ability to visualize, illustrate, and present ideas clearly.
- Strong technical and practical problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take responsibility.
Experience in Retail Planning / Store Planning is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Please note, only applicants with the right to live and work in the UK and who are based here permanently will be considered.
