THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our client based in the Tyne & Wear area.
In the role you will be expected to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance to various machinery found on plant.
The employer in question is a big believer in training & development and will provide a platform for upskilling and investing in your career.
The organisation in question takes waste fuels and recycles them to produce alternate fuels.
THE ROLE
- Reacting to breakdowns and delivering planned maintenance
- Working to maintain various pump equipment found on site including centrifugal and air operated diaphragm pumps
- Strip, inspect, service and repair Pumps, Centrifuges.
- Proficiency in the reading and understanding of mechanical schematic drawings
- Ability to take the information from schematic drawings and assemble equipment
- Making and breaking small flanges
- Updating and logging tasks within the SAP maintenance system
- Dealing with outside contractors to aid works where appropriate
THE PERSON
- Time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician
- Educated to at least level 3 apprenticeship
- Experience working with various pumps especially centrifugal
- Must have worked within an industrial setting
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Open to development
