University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a Senior Academic Support Lecturer to join our Academic Support team, primarily based at Chelsea College of Arts. This full-time, permanent role involves direct teaching, coordination, and line management. The successful candidate will work with students to provide embedded and centralized Academic Support across courses at Chelsea College of Arts and potentially across other colleges as part of the wider CCW Academic Support team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Programme/Course Teams and Academic Support colleagues to implement the University’s Strategy.
- Apply inclusive practices recognizing the diversity of the student population and demonstrate understanding of the disciplines taught at Chelsea.
- Devise, deliver, and oversee high-quality Academic Support tailored to individual and group needs.
- Support students transitioning into and progressing through higher education, including postgraduate study.
- Monitor, manage, and develop the Academic Support offer in consultation with colleagues and college communities.
About You
- Minimum of a Master’s degree and a PGCert or equivalent.
- Significant experience in developing and delivering learning initiatives, supporting students in HE, and managing a team.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and management skills.
- Ability to lead, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
