As a Transfer Pricing Tax AVP, you will be responsible for:

  1. Managing the transfer pricing end-to-end lifecycle for specific Barclays’ business lines, including leading functional analysis and developing transfer pricing methodologies.
  2. Supporting the preparation of transfer pricing documentation aligned with OECD TP principles, including economic analysis.
  3. Conducting periodic transfer pricing calculations and supporting the implementation of processes, controls, and monitoring.
  4. Responding to internal and external transfer pricing inquiries and assisting stakeholders with related issues.

The ideal candidate should be ACA/ICAS qualified (or equivalent) with strong UK tax and transfer pricing knowledge, preferably in financial services.

Purpose of the role

To provide expert tax advice, analyze complex tax issues, and manage relationships with tax authorities and stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Providing tax planning and advisory services in line with Barclays principles.
  • Managing tax risks from business activities, investments, and transactions, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Analyzing complex tax issues to support planning, compliance, and risk management.
  • Assessing tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and developing tax-efficient structures.
  • Liaising with tax authorities and resolving legacy issues.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential tax risks associated with strategic transactions.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure understanding and management of tax requirements.
  • Monitoring developments in tax law and their impact on Barclays.
  • Analyzing business and product changes from a tax perspective and contributing to firm-wide processes.
