Android Developer – ExoPlayer + AWS MediaTailor | Ad Insertion for Streaming AppRemote (UK/EU)⏳ 6 Months+Up to €500 per day.
We’re looking for a freelance Android Developer with ExoPlayer experience to join the Ads Team of a major streaming client. You’ll be working on server-side ad insertion (SSAI) using AWS MediaTailor , helping deliver a seamless AVOD experience at scale.
Day to day of the role:Implement and optimise ad insertion workflows using ExoPlayer + MediaTailorCollaborate with backend, ad tech, and video delivery teamsDebug playback and ad stitching issues across Android devicesEnsure smooth user experience during ad breaks in live & on-demand content
✅Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong Android dev skills in Kotlin/JavaHands-on experience with ExoPlayer in productionSolid knowledge of SSAI , HLS , and SCTE-35 ad markersExperience integrating with AWS MediaTailor (or similar)Streaming industry experience (OTT / AVOD / FAST)
