Role Overview:
The Regional Finance Leader will oversee financial management for Northern Europe’s business channels, providing strategic and operational financial support to Regional Heads of Sales. Responsibilities include managing P&Ls, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, due diligence, financial modeling, pricing, sales incentives, margin analysis, and dashboard creation. The role also involves ensuring financial safety, operational resilience, and compliance within regulatory frameworks, supporting the Global Finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Regional Sales Heads and teams with financial guidance to meet regional objectives.
- Conduct monthly financial reporting and analysis for regional and global teams.
- Lead forecasting and budgeting processes aligned with corporate planning.
- Prepare materials for regulated entity board meetings, including financial resilience and stress testing reports.
- Perform due diligence and business case analysis on new initiatives.
- Track financial performance of key projects and initiatives.
- Create insightful reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate on cost allocation, expenses, and headcount analysis.
- Guide pricing strategies, deal structures, and revenue recognition decisions.
- Coordinate reporting and approval processes for new business activities and investments.
- Ensure compliance with local finance requirements and liaise with global teams on banking, accounting, and settlement matters.
- Assist with internal controls, risk management, and ad hoc initiatives.
Scope & Interactions:
Reports to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis – Europe, Russia, and CIS. Interacts with regional sales, central finance teams, and senior management. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in Finance or FP&A; professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations in banking and payment services.
- Proven business partnering and relationship management skills.
- Analytical skills with experience building financial models.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases (Essbase, Oracle EBS, Cognos Analytics).
