Shirley Parsons is partnering with a global-leading Maritime classification and compliance specialist to find a Head of Environment & Operational Performance for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves leading the company’s net-zero strategy, based on science-based targets, and advancing sustainability initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Own the sustainability strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and thought leadership.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on sustainability performance, ensuring compliance with GRI and UNGC standards.
• Coordinate the emissions reduction plan aligned with science-based targets and net-zero goals.
• Engage internal stakeholders effectively using your interpersonal skills.
• Assess performance against benchmarks and ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• Experience in implementing Environmental systems like ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Success in using science-based targets for emission reduction plans.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across organizational levels.
• A degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Excellent listening skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders.
