Job Description

We are seeking a Global Head of Pitching to lead our Marketing, Business Development, and Communications team. This role focuses on delivering pitches and proposals, managing a global pitch team, and innovating our approach to winning business.

Department Purpose

Our team supports the firm’s strategic objectives, including client relationship building, visibility enhancement, and positioning as a thought leader among elite law firms worldwide. Collaboration across global teams is essential.

Role Purpose

This leadership position aims to improve pitch efficiency, quality, and success rates, while providing strategic advice on key pursuits. The role offers a significant opportunity to influence how the firm wins business globally.

Responsibilities

Client Centricity

  • Facilitate high-quality, client-focused pitches.
  • Use research insights to align pitches with client strategies.
  • Monitor success metrics and conduct feedback analysis.
  • Develop mechanisms for continuous pitch improvement.

Best Practice & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead a global team of pitch specialists operating a ’24/5′ support model.
  • Deliver pitch training and promote best practices.
  • Innovate pitch processes and maintain best practice repositories.

Technology & AI

  • Automate repetitive tasks and incorporate AI tools.
  • Align pitching strategies with CRM systems and analytics tools.

Winning Mindset

  • Set targets to improve win rates.
  • Advise on go/no-go decisions and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain and analyze sales pipeline and performance metrics.

Team Leadership

  • Lead by example as part of the BD leadership team.
  • Manage and develop team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse team environment.

Key Requirements

  • Stakeholder influence and management skills.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and creativity.
  • Proactive with a focus on pitch conversion improvement.
  • Senior pitching experience, preferably in professional or financial services.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams in a global context.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance assessment.
