Job Title – Head of Private Sales
Job Location – London
Salary – 70k plus bonus
My client is recruiting a Head of Sales Manager to work closely with the Managing Director to deliver the company’s sales and margin objectives by growing and nurturing our direct business to ensure a healthy ratio against trade sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day to day running of Private sales team
- Oversee the day to day running of the Marketing department
- Develop and maintain new streams of Direct business through careful management of existing database and energetic initiatives to new markets
- Provide on-going strategic analysis to ensure that we maximise profitability
- Build strong relationships with corporate organisations and other partners and closed user groups
- Uphold customer care excellence and ensure to achieve 96% client satisfaction
- Management, motivation and training of Private Sales and Marketing teams
- Develop technology to improve the service to help grow direct business
- Regularly review competitor activity
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Strong background in direct client acquisition and client retention
- Background in consumer database management with excellent communication skills and ability to attract new business
- Sound product knowledge of Luxury travel is preferred but not essential
- Proven experience as a people manager within a specialist quality brand
- Good all round understanding of latest technologies with good understanding of all elements of e-commerce
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Good knowledge of crisis management procedures
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
- Excellent budgetary and forecasting skills
