My client is recruiting a Head of Sales Manager to work closely with the Managing Director to deliver the company’s sales and margin objectives by growing and nurturing our direct business to ensure a healthy ratio against trade sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day to day running of Private sales team
  • Oversee the day to day running of the Marketing department
  • Develop and maintain new streams of Direct business through careful management of existing database and energetic initiatives to new markets
  • Provide on-going strategic analysis to ensure that we maximise profitability
  • Build strong relationships with corporate organisations and other partners and closed user groups
  • Uphold customer care excellence and ensure to achieve 96% client satisfaction
  • Management, motivation and training of Private Sales and Marketing teams
  • Develop technology to improve the service to help grow direct business
  • Regularly review competitor activity

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Strong background in direct client acquisition and client retention
  • Background in consumer database management with excellent communication skills and ability to attract new business
  • Sound product knowledge of Luxury travel is preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience as a people manager within a specialist quality brand
  • Good all round understanding of latest technologies with good understanding of all elements of e-commerce
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Good knowledge of crisis management procedures
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent budgetary and forecasting skills
