We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join a well-established, psychiatric hospital in Hertfordshire. This facility offers a comprehensive range of services including high dependency rehabilitation, acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and community-focused rehabilitation.
Job PurposeAs a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care, supporting a multidisciplinary team and contributing to a person-centred recovery approach. Under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be involved in patient assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct psychiatric assessments and assist in determining appropriate levels of careCollaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the Care ProgrammePrepare clinical documentation including discharge summaries and CPA reportsParticipate in clinical governance, CPD activities, and supervisionProvide medical cover and participate in the sites on-call rotaSupport the GP in delivering physical health care and emergency treatmentMentor new RMOs and provide cover during rest periods
Qualifications & SkillsMBBS or equivalentGMC registered and licensed to practiceGood standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPDRecent appraisal or RITAInpatient experience with individuals facing complex mental health issues

Safeguarding & GovernanceAll staff are expected to understand their responsibilities in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children and comply with all relevant local and national guidelines. Mandatory safeguarding training will be provided.
