Quantity SurveyorLocation – YorkshireAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK energy business to be based in Yorkshire to look atter 2 sites in Manchester and Stockton.Quantity Surveyor – BenefitsCompetitive SalaryCar AllowanceAnnual Leave 25 days plus bank holidaysPension schemePrivate HealthcareLife AssuranceExcellent Bonus SchemeQuantity Surveyor RoleThe Quantity Surveyor will contribute to the success of the company development pipeline, with multiple construction projects commencing over the next 12 months with a combined value to £100MIL. The successful candidate will work with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the wider construction team, with responsibility for the full lifecycle of the project, responsibilities will include monitoring and reporting of construction activities, evaluating subcontractor performance, assisting with audit and cost verifications, drafting contract communications, and attending site meetings.Quantity Surveyor – ResponsibilitiesConduct site visits to monitor and evaluate work completed to ensure it aligns with specifications and quality standardsAdminister construction contracts including the assessment of application for payments and change control (variations and claims)Assist with the control and reporting of cost analysis, pricing variations, preparing accurate records of budget, costs, valuations, risks and variationsAssist the Senior Quantity Surveyor by providing all necessary forecast and site budget information to meet the business’s reporting requirementsAttend progress and risk reduction meetings with the project team and contractorsEvaluate contractors’ progress reports, ensuring compliance with contract termsAssist senior staff in the compilation of data to monitor individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basisMaintaining necessary systems to file and retrieve information efficientlyAdhere to company policies on Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental standards, ensuring alignment with current regulationsQuantity Surveyor Role – RequirementsBSc Quantity Surveying and Construction Management (RICS Accredited)MSc Quantity Surveying and Construction Management DegreeExperience of working on NEC3/4 forms of contractExcellent understanding of construction industry practices, regulations and standardsUnderstanding of health and safety regulations and environmental standardsAble to work 3 days on-site and travel to various sites UK wideFor further information, contact Amy Gough at the Birmingham office.Fusion People are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
