Agile, customer-focused and compliance-minded, they blend cutting-edge technology with regulatory rigour. As they scale, they are building a people-first culture — and they are looking for a proactive and experienced Employee Relations Consultant to help lead that journey.

As an Employee Relations Consultant, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the business on all matters of employee relations. From managing high-impact change processes to navigating sensitive cases, you’ll work closely with senior leadership, HRBPs, and legal teams to deliver fair, compliant, and commercially smart outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support large-scale redundancy and organisational restructuring programmes across multiple business areas.
  • Provide expert advice and oversight on complex grievance, disciplinary, and performance matters.
  • Manage and advise on TUPE transfers (in and out), ensuring legal compliance and smooth transitions during business change.
  • Support initiatives related to SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime), ensuring alignment between people processes and regulatory expectations.
  • Negotiate and implement settlement agreements where necessary, managing risk and reputational considerations.
  • Build ER capability across the People team and wider business through training, coaching, and policy development.
  • Stay ahead of employment legislation and regulatory change, translating legal insight into practical guidance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in an ER-focused role, ideally within a regulated or financial services environment.
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment law, with hands-on experience of TUPE and managing SMCR-related HR processes.
  • Track record of managing redundancy, restructures, and complex ER cases.
  • Skilled communicator and influencer — calm under pressure and confident handling sensitive conversations at senior levels.
  • Commercially astute with sound judgment and a pragmatic, solution-driven approach.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent HR/ER experience.

Our Client

  • Work at the forefront of fintech in a role that directly shapes how we grow and evolve.
  • Join a supportive, values-driven culture where innovation and integrity go hand in hand.
  • Enjoy true flexibility and a hybrid working environment that respects work-life balance.
  • Excellent salary and benefits package, including private healthcare, pension, generous leave, and fintech perks. This is a 6 month Contract.
