Overview

Due to our continued growth and success delivering high-quality developments across Greater Manchester & the North-West, and with a healthy pipeline for the future; we are looking to recruit a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to join the small but growing team within our main contracting businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business backed by a successful family office in a period of growth.

You will oversee all aspects of a construction project from initiation to completion, ensuring it’s completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and health & safety standards, managing resources, budgets, timelines, contracts, and communication. Establishing project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with client requirements.

Duties include:

  • Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, and procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, pre-construction, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and any significant developments or risks.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Carry out thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships. Providing leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Actively work with the commercial team to oversee project budgeting and cost control to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Requirements

·      Experience of working in the Built Environment and demonstrated experience of all aspects of Project Management.

·      A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

·      Strong knowledge and experience of construction methodologies, building codes and safety regulations.

·      Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organising and prioritising tasks.

·      Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, including construction drawings and specifications.

·      Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.

·      Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.

·      Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.

·      Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem solving.
