Job Description:

Our client specializes in manufacturing different gearing systems, this role will involve setting and operating various machinery (including CNC, Mazak, etc.), to set up and prepare materials and tooling for upcoming jobs, working from engineering drawings to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry.Key Responsibilities:Set and operate CNC turn/mill machinesChange machine setting from one job to another within a set time frameAbility to read and understand programsAble to use micrometres, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheetsMeet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standardsDeal with technical queries where possible, as and when requiredSupport colleagues by assisting with other duties when required, to aid the smooth running of the CompanyWork in accordance to the quality system and processes of the companyBe punctual at all timesReport any issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor asap

Skills and Qualifications/experience:Qualification in engineering or similar field3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/roleThe ability to use a range of measuring equipmentGood math and technical skillsKnowledge and experience of systematic problem solvingBe proactive and a great team playerTo be a quick learner and adaptable to changeHave excellent attention to detailBe able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines

Hours06:30 – 15:15, Monday – Thursday and 06:00 – 13:00, Fridays.
