Role Overview:

As a Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and developing structures that serve the community. Your responsibilities will include:

– Applying and preparing for planning and building regulations approval.

– Crafting specifications for tender, analysing tenders, and issuing reports.

– Contract Administrator experience is highly desirable

– Supporting senior staff in roles under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

– Project management, including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates.

– Assisting in contract administration under various JCT Contracts.

– Conducting detailed inspections to diagnose defects and recommend remedial work.

– Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies.

Skills and Experience Required:

– Proven experience as a consultant building surveyor.

– Comprehensive knowledge of materials and construction types.

– Expertise in preparing specifications and writing schedules of works.

– Detailed understanding of planning and building regulations approval processes.

– Significant site inspection experience.

– Confidence in attending and chairing progress meetings with clients and stakeholders.

– Ability to independently produce detailed reports.

– Some experience with party wall services is advantageous.

– Full UK Driving Licence.

– MRICS qualified or close to completion
