Job Title: Technical Architect – Hotels Team

An award-winning architecture studio is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Architect to join their Hotels Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong proficiency in Revit. The successful applicant will bring their technical expertise to a diverse range of hotel projects, applying analytical skills to identify, analyse, and resolve system design challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development of hotel projects, ensuring design and technical integrity at all stages.
  • Use Revit to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Apply technical expertise and knowledge of various architectural approaches to address complex design challenges.
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve potential system design weaknesses or technical issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure technical solutions align with the overall project vision.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and design reviews, offering technical guidance and solutions.
  • Oversee technical coordination with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in architecture, with a focus on technical design.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Solid technical expertise, with experience applying various architectural approaches and technologies to resolve design challenges.
  • Analytical skills to identify and solve system design weaknesses.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction techniques, and material specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience working on hotel projects or similar hospitality-related developments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of other architectural software, such as AutoCAD or BIM tools, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and construction standards.
  • Experience leading technical coordination for complex projects.
