We are seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer to support a wide range of high-profile projects, from major mixed-use redevelopments and high-rise towers, to large-scale infrastructure, urban regeneration, and sustainability-led masterplans. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers, helping to shape the built environment from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, site inspections, and soil/rock logging
- Develop ground models and perform geotechnical analyses including settlement, slope stability, retaining wall, and foundation design
- Prepare detailed geotechnical interpretive and design reports
- Collaborate with structural and civil teams to deliver integrated design solutions
- Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases
- Contribute to the delivery of sustainable and technically challenging projects both in the UK and internationally
About You:
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with geotechnical focus), or Engineering Geology
- 2+ years of relevant UK geotechnical experience (consulting or contractor side)
- Solid understanding of Eurocode 7 and UK ground risk management practices
- Proficiency in geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS, Wallap, Slope/W, Oasys)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for problem-solving, innovation, and technical excellence
- Working toward (or already achieved) Chartered status is an advantage
