Litigation Paralegal

Stefani Solicitors is a multidisciplinary SRA regulated law firm specialising in Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Court of Protection, Family, Immigration and Mental Health Law.

Job duties:

• Assisting with Court of Protection, Family, Mental Health, Civil Litigation and Commercial Law cases
• Report directly to Director
• Professional proactive approach
• Strong client care skills
• Sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs
• Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases for hearings
• Maintaining accurate time costing procedures
• Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly
• Ensuring compliance with file management

Required skills:

• A strong academic background
• Law degree
• LPC desirable
• Portuguese or Italian language fluency desirable
• Experience working as a Litigation Paralegal
• Clear understanding and application of Court of Protection / Mental Health / Family Law
• Business acumen and the ability to market the Company
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
• Team player, self -motivated and professional
• Excellent IT Skills – proficient use of Microsoft Office
• Experience working with LEAP case management desirable
