Your new companyYour new role working as a Commercial Account Handler will be within an established Wholesale Lloyd’s Broker who specialize in the placement of commercial business into the London market on behalf of UK and European intermediaries. Located in the heart of the City, the business is fast-growing as well as fast-paced with a young and vibrant team. Your new Brokers ensure that they attract the most talented professionals to work with them and create an environment where all employees have a stake in their success. Due to the growth within their Wholesale commercial team, a new position for a Commercial Account Handler role has arisen.
Your new roleYour new job working as a Wholesale commercial Account Handler will be handling all types of combined, property, and casualty business. You will support the account managers and account executives, managing a growing portfolio of business while also providing administrative support as and when required. You will work closely with the team taking care and assisting with all client queries, handling new and renewal business as well as dealing with Agents and Sub Agents. You will prepare London market documentation to include MRC slips and presentations to the market as well as handle post and emails from Clients, Underwriters, and other Stakeholders. Other duties will include logging and updating all new and existing policies onto the Insurance system or Excel.
What you’ll need to succeedYour previous experience working as an Account Handler, handling commercial risks either Wholesale or Retail will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a good understanding of Wholesale business and all the London market processes or have a willingness to learn fast. Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified or progressing towards it. You will be confident obtaining information from clients and Underwriters via telephone & email and will have the ability to build good relationships with both Clients and Underwriters/Insurers. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organizational ability. You will ideally have experience using broking systems.
