- Based in KS1 – working with class teachers as part of a professional team to support learning for pupils
- covering absence of class teachers within the year group, phase or elsewhere in the school (when necessary)
- Releasing teachers in KS1 and lower KS2 for PPA or leadership time
- taking groups for phonics, reading, maths etc.
