Job Title: Development Engineer

Location: Whetstone

Salary: Up to £45K

Hours: Mon – Thurs 8am – 5pm Fri 8am – 4pm

The Recruitment Group is working with a fast-growing manufacturing business who design, produce and install retail displays, windows, and pop-up spaces. They pride themselves on offering a UK-based sustainable supply, working closely with local supply partners to produce as much as 90% of all products in-house.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Development Engineer who’s ready for their next career move within a fast-growing and dynamic business. Based at the company’s development office, this position has come about due to significant growth over the past 24 months.

Key Responsibilities for the Development Engineer:

  • Responsible for producing development solutions to support the clients design and technical intent.
  • Develop cost effective solutions to suit the most effective route to in house manufacture or outsourced manufacture.
  • Conduct site surveys as and when required.
  • To embrace a team culture conducive to teamwork, individual empowerment, honesty, and that is commercially astute.
  • To conduct yourself in a professional, honest and respectful manner at all times internally and outside of the business
  • Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies so our employees understand and follow company guidelines
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to your line manager to these can be managed effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Planning, workshop, prototype and pre-production to align development activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints to we all work towards a shared goal.

Key Requirements for the Development Engineer:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
  • Proficient in reporting and MS Office
  • Skilled in building client and internal relationships
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
  • Organised and accurate with record-keeping
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Solid knowledge of SolidWorks
