An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Principal or Senior Fire Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking consultancy. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to contribute technical expertise, mentor junior engineers and deliver innovative fire safety solutions across a broad range of projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale fire engineering projects across multiple sectors in the built environment.
  • Provide high-quality consultancy and technical advice from concept through to construction.
  • Support and mentor junior team members including Graduates and Engineers.
  • Take a hands-on role in client engagement, addressing complex fire safety challenges with confidence.
  • Contribute to business development and help grow a strong regional presence.
  • Apply and oversee the use of tools such as CFD, CFAST, Pyrosim, or Pathfinder where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Fire Engineering role, ideally with experience leading projects and teams.
  • Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (BEng, MEng, MSc).
  • Progressing towards or already holding Chartered status (CEng) or equivalent.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IFE).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a role model and mentor.
  • Passion for continuous learning and technical excellence.
