Network Asset Inspector

Our client is currently seeking a Network Asset Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety of the highways network through high-quality inspection, compliance, and enforcement services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting on-site inspections to ensure the highways network’s safety and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Reporting to the Senior Network Asset Inspector and delivering a customer-centric inspection service.
• Supporting enforcement actions in line with the Highways Act 1980 to ensure all third-party actions do not put highway users at risk.
• Facilitating compliance through discussions and negotiations in the first instance.
• Supporting enforcement actions when non-compliance with the Highways Act 1980 is identified.
• Working outside normal hours to ensure the successful delivery of out-of-hours service.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in streetworks and a strong understanding of NRSWA regulations.
• Familiarity with statutory duties and requirements outlined in the Highways Act 1980.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve compliance through discussions.
• Ability to support and facilitate enforcement actions when necessary.
• Solid organisational skills and ability to conduct thorough and detailed inspections.
• Willingness to work outside of normal hours to meet job requirements.
• Committed to delivering a high-quality, customer-centric service.
