Sr. Product Manager, JP Customer Shopping Experience, Amazon
Amazon is seeking a customer-centric team member to drive improvements with the Amazon Japan shopping journey.
The Sr. Product Manager is primarily responsible for understanding the largest customer pains by partnering with business teams and adopting the right solutions Japan-wide. This individual will lead cross-Product Families and cross-Functional projects, collaborating with multiple tech teams worldwide (primarily US, EU, and India). They will lead projects to launch new-to-JP features/programs and expand the program to all relevant categories across JP by overcoming Japan’s unique challenges in a scalable way (such as language, back-end elements, etc).
The ideal candidate has solid program & product management experience with a proven track record of launching and adopting multiple highly impactful initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work in a global culture, lead cross-functional/broader projects, and understand Amazon-site UX.

Key job responsibilities:
- Understand customer pain points, create and execute strategies to improve the customer shopping journey on Amazon.
- Involve, influence, and align with key local and global stakeholders (business, tech, marketing, and legal leaders).
- Own implementing cross-Product-Family programs/features in partnership with Tech teams by gathering inputs from category teams, setting business requirements, and creating mechanisms to monitor KPIs.
- Prepare and deliver business reviews with senior management on a regular basis.
- Manage prioritization and make trade-off decisions (i.e., speed to launch vs. required resources, program performance in short vs. long term).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.– Language skill: English & Japanese – Business level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights.
