About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Property Accounts Assistant to join our team 3 days per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in property or service charge accounting who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to develop their skills within a well-established business. You’ll play a key role in supporting the financial operations across our property portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely processing of property-related income, expenditure, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of service charge accounts
  • Raise and process tenant rent, service charge, and insurance invoices
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable for property-related transactions
  • Monitor and chase rent arrears and outstanding payments
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and contractor payments
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records of leases, tenants, and property charges
  • Support year-end accounting processes and liaise with auditors where required
  • Respond to internal and external queries relating to property accounts
  • Ensure compliance with RICS service charge code and internal financial policies

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in property accounting or finance admin role (commercial or residential)
  • Good understanding of service charges, rent accounting, and property financials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and property/accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Qube – desirable)
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • AAT qualified or working towards a finance/accounting qualification (desirable)
