My client based in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking dedicated and motivated Deputy Manager to join their Children's Home and you will have a background of working within a Childrens Home.

The client is a specialist and make pride themselves in operating a number of homes across the area most of which rated as Outstanding by OFSTED.

As the homes Deputy Manager in Stoke-on-Trent you will be a leader in your position and a mentor to staff and children alike.

Key Responsibilities:

– Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in care.

– Encourage and motivate young people to participate in activities and education.

– Lead and support staff teams in a residential childcare setting in the social care industry

– Manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.

Essential Requirements:

– Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.

– Full UK driving license

– Willingness to sleep in on a 2 on, 4 off rota.

– Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young Person's Workforce or equivalent.

– Experience with OFSTED Inspections.

– Knowledge of current legislation in the sector.

– Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins.

– Ability to deliver therapeutic care.

Desirable Attributes:

– 3 years of experience working in Children's residential homes, with 1 year post L3 qualification.

– Team Leader or Leadership & Management qualification.

– Experience working in a Childrens Home.

– Experience in a therapeutic setting and success in developing staff teams and individuals.
