It would be the perfect role for a technically minded accountant, who is looking for their first role outside of practice, or for a 2nd mover with some industry experience.

Key responsibilities for the Group Financial Reporting Manager role:
Financial Statement Preparation:
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant reporting standards and coordinate with external auditors during the audit process.
Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Continuously assess and enhance control procedures to meet evolving business needs.
Process Optimisation:
- Streamline financial reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices to enhance the quality and speed of financial reporting.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a high-performing financial reporting team.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
Qualifications and experience required for the position:
- Recognised accountancy qualification – ACA or ACCA
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
