Commercial Finance Manager – IT Services

RiverSafe provides advisory and technical delivery expertise across Cyber Security, Application Security and DevOps. We are looking for a highly experienced Commercial Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Financial Controller to join the team at a time of growth and development.

Role

• Detailed financial planning and analysis, detailing revenue streams in order to manage the growth.
• Support investment decisions, budget tracking and detailed analysis of costs and impact on cash flow.
• Strong technical accounting to produce year-end statutory accounts as well as analysing results and drive business improvements.
• Preparation of profit and loss, cashflow reporting and balance sheet analysis.
• Preparation of detailed monthly management accounts with comments and monthly variance analysis against the budget.
• Liaising with budget holders to discuss any discrepancies and spend.
• Liaise with different department heads around cost optimisation.
• Month-end close, review timesheets and investigate discrepancies.
• Review and oversee expenses, purchase and sales ledger.
• Manage and review multi-currency payments.
• Presenting monthly management accounts to the board, discussing any discrepancies and improvements that can be actioned.

Skills

• ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified with a proven track record in a fast-growing SME.
• Ambitious and driven with an enquiring mind and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, whatifs, sumifs and pivots.
• Comfortable working in financial ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills to analyse the data, revenue and costs and advise the Board.

Work Arrangement

This role requires 2-3 days per week working in the office in Canary Wharf.
