Retail Accountant

Retail Accountant Kent/London 45,000 – 50,000 – month FTC

My client, a leading luxury retail specialist, are looking for a Retail Accountant to join them for a 12-month fixed term contract. You will focus on several key projects within the team with a main focus on balance sheet reconciliations.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Act as the subject matter expert in Retail and E-commerce accounting
2. Manage account reconciliations (e.g., trade debtors, VAT, deposits)
3. Ensure accurate month-end closing per Group policy
4. Drive improvements in Accounts Receivable management and cash/commission reconciliations
5. Support the retail brand and its bespoke ERP system
6. Ensure audit compliance and assist in stock counts and training

Essential Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations
2. Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance teams
3. Advanced Excel and SAP skills; ERP system proficiency
4. Ability to handle audits and ensure compliance
5. Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

Package

1. 45,000 – 50,000 as a basic salary
2. Competitive pension scheme
3. Lovely Kent offices with free parking, central London offices also
4. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
