Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location: Coalville, Leicestershire Salary: £46,000 starting salary  Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, no weekendsShift Hours: 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM Job Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established and successful manufacturing facility in Coalville that makes packaging.  So this is a very clean environment, with reliable machinery and good PPM processes in place.

Duties:Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a logical approach, identifying root causes rather than relying solely on system resets.Interpret electrical schematics to support maintenance and repair tasks, clearly communicating findings with team members.Collaborate with production and operational teams to improve machinery performance and anticipate potential issues.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, addressing recurring issues to implement long-term solutions.Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is conducted safely and in accordance with company policies

Requirements

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong skills in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities with a proactive, logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a team-oriented mindset.
