Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Islington – Start After Easter
SANZA Teaching Agency is excited to recruit a Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant for a supportive and friendly primary school in the heart of Islington. This is a full-time role starting after the Easter break (21st April 2025) and running until July 2025.
The Role:
We are looking for a Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a child with additional needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and proactive, ensuring the child can fully engage with their learning in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Details:
Position: Year 1 SEND Teaching Assistant
Start Date: 21st April 2025
End Date: July 2025
Hours: 08:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
Daily Rate: 90-95 per day, with a pay rise after 12 weeks
Location: Islington
Requirements:
Previous SEND experience is essential
Year 1 or KS1 experience is preferred but not essential
Ability to support a child with SEND needs, adapting learning strategies accordingly
Strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, parents, and SENCOs
Enthusiasm, dedication, and a passion for supporting children with SEND
