(IT) System Engineer – Lab Environments & Network Configuration

We are seeking Integration Engineers/System Engineer – Lab Environments & Network Configuration with strong expertise in Linux administration and TCP/IP protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up new builds and environments within a lab setting.
• Create and test system/software configuration files.
• Configure Firewalls and network devices.
• Develop and implement test procedures for test campaigns and performance evaluations.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation for efficient planning and execution.
• Manage design and engineering documentation to ensure thorough tracking.
• Provide third-level support to resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to define and design new services and features to enhance performance or meet new requirements.
• Review existing software and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement in scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and overall architectural integrity.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• University degree or equivalent in Computing Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to debug complex systems, implement quick fixes, and deliver long-term solutions.
• Extensive experience with Linux administration, including RHCSA certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Proficiency in quickly developing proof of concepts/prototypes.
• Expertise in TCP/IP Networking.
• Strong knowledge of iptables/iproute/tc stack.
• Proven experience with SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Proficient in SELinux and strong systems security knowledge.
• Basic familiarity with git.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Proven ability to document and describe complex systems.
• Methodical approach to system design and testing.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Quick learner, especially when dealing with new software, infrastructure, and tools.
