Job Description
We are currently partnering with a Local Government based in Kent, who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer to join their growing team on a temporary basis for initially 9-months.
This is a full-time or part-time position and the rate is negotiable.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Helping the team with S106 caseload support, compulsory purchase and regeneration legal work, including high value major development and infrastructure projects
- Supporting the team with public enquiries and autonomously dealing with caseload
- Providing high quality well researched legal advice and assistance to client departments within agreed timescales, in regards to planning matters
- Supporting the Principal Solicitor and other colleagues in ensuring that a professional, comprehensive legal service is provided to the Council, its Members and Officers
- Advising at Planning Committees as required
Experience required:
- Must be a qualified solicitor
- 2 years + PQE
