Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basis
  2. Lead compliance planning and determination of means of compliance
  3. Support / contribution to creation of cohesive project plans
  4. Review of development artefacts, where applicable
  5. Perform certification audit pre-assessments both of internal projects and external suppliers
  6. Audit project / product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basis
  7. Support to Customer AR / Regulatory Authority audits
  8. Support and collaboration with Integrated Project Teams to resolve audit Findings/Actions/Observations
  9. Support to / participation in industry working groups
  10. Staff development, both within Certification and the wider engineering community, through technical guidance, coaching and mentoring of less experienced engineers
  11. Develop and implement training modules as necessary

Qualifications

  1. Direct design experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, CPLD technologies
  2. Experience working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254
  3. Experience of demonstrating compliance to certification regulations

Desired Characteristics

  1. Knowledge of ASIC design and fabrication (to include both the fabless and foundry aspects)

  4. Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  5. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
