Bennett & Game are delighted to be assisting a highly experienced, and reputable accountancy practice based in Central Manchester as they recruit for an ambitious Accounts and Tax Manager. They are offering a competitive salary of £45-55k, hybrid working, and flexible working arrangements.

This 6 partner practice are growing their operation, and are looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, who can successfully lead and develop a team whilst managing a varied portfolio of clients. There is a range of progression opportunities, for an ambitious accountant to further their career into senior management.

Accounts and Tax Manager Job Overview

  • Client Management – Managing relationships with key clients, and managing an extensive portfolio. Consistently delivering excellent levels of client satisfaction.
  • Team management, support and development – Acting as a point of contact for junior members of staff, supervising and mentoring them, in order to support their development.
  • Account preparation and review – Preparing and reviewing management accounts, statutory accounts, corporate tax returns, and personal tax returns.
  • Team collaboration – Supporting and collaborating with other teams within the practice.

Accounts and Tax Manager Job Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA qualification is preferable.
  • Experience in client management or similar role within accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax, and VAT compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage workflow, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Able to commute to central Manchester.
  • No requirement for visa sponsorship.

  • Competitive salary, dependant on experience, ranging from £45-55k.
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in office, 2 from home.
