Leasing Manager, London, £40,000K + Benefits

Exciting opportunity for a sales-focused and confident Leasing Manager to join this successful and growing build-to-rent company.

You will be responsible for converting enquiries and viewings to tenancies and delivering a superb rental experience while ensuring high occupancy levels.

Duties will include:

  1. Manage all aspects of enquiries, viewings, tenancy progression, contracting, and conversion rates in the properties.
  2. First point of contact for all lettings enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  3. Be a natural negotiator, build rapport quickly and effectively, and use sound judgement under pressure to convert interest into bookings.
  4. Ensure properties are listed on online platforms and are promoted effectively with support from the marketing team.
  5. Ensure letting agents provide correct documentation for applications.
  6. Reference applicants and manage the process.
  7. Draft and issue contracts.
  8. Support with inventories, pre-tenancy checks, and any other work related to the tenancy as required.
  9. Ensure contracts are signed, payments received, and Right to Rent documents are certified at move-in, and ensure all Pre-Tenancy documents are issued to the resident, ensuring 100% compliance.
  10. Support with move-in induction for residents as required.
  11. Manage and monitor feedback from potential and current residents to feed into rental income strategies.
  12. Support with renewals and negotiations of price increases.
  13. Review rental pricing on a regular basis, using feedback received from residents and viewers.

Requirements

  1. Experience within a Leasing/Lettings role within residential lettings, build-to-rent, co-living, student accommodation, or letting agency.
  2. ARLA or IRPM qualification is desirable, not essential, but must be happy to work towards a qualification.
  3. Must thrive in a sales-focused role where a proactive sales approach and maximising conversion are key along with delivering outstanding customer service.
  4. Confident and able to build rapport quickly.
  5. Highly organised and able to follow processes correctly, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate positive influencing skills.
  7. IT literate in Microsoft Office packages, CRM systems, and booking systems.
  8. Confident and professional manner in a customer-facing role.
  9. Driven and enthusiastic with the willingness to learn, develop and grow within the role.
  10. Must have the ability to work on own initiative.
  11. Ability to adapt and deliver in a high-growth environment.
  12. Keen commercial awareness, with an inquisitive and curious approach to the wider sector.
  13. The ability to work under pressure, often on multiple activities whilst displaying good organisational skills.
  14. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all tenant matters and personal data.
