Our successful Professional Indemnity team based in London is looking for an experienced individual with prior experience in defending ProFin claims. The team is seeking a Solicitor (1-5 years PQE) with experience of defending claims against solicitors, construction professionals, property professionals, insolvency practitioners and/or accountants as well as advising on some very large and complex policy issues.
The role will involve running a caseload of professional indemnity claims as well as assisting lead partners with high value and multi-party claims. There are also likely to be secondment opportunities in the future. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous defendant professional indemnity experience (1-5 years PQE), preferably with some construction experience
- Demonstrate a commercial awareness of the Professional Indemnity market
- Legal qualification required i.e. Solicitor / FILEX or equivalent
- The personal skills to deal with major litigation involving liaison with senior claims handlers
- An ability to prioritise workload
- An ability to communicate in writing and prepare succinct and concise reports
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to work with case management systems
- Willingness to play a role in the development of client relationships and of the practice as a whole
- Claims handling experience (via a previous secondment or otherwise)
