Job Summary:

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with strong educational backgrounds and relevant certifications in the mentioned fields.
2. Skills: Strong foundation in statistics and programming (R/Python). Experience with data preparation, visualization, and model building. Knowledge of big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
3. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related role.

Typical Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain data products. Data Engineering teams are responsible for the delivery and operational stability of the data products built and provide ongoing support for those products.
2. Work within and contribute to the overall data development life cycle process as part of multi-functional Agile delivery teams focused on one or more products.
3. Characterize a business problem, formulate a hypothesis, and demonstrate the use of methodologies in the analytics cycle.
4. Understand the data science workflow and recognize the importance of each element of the process for successful implementations.
5. Ensure usable data sets by identifying, collecting, manipulating, transforming, and cleaning the data.
6. Utilize multiple modeling techniques and understand model validation and selection techniques.
7. Deploy validated models into existing production environments and monitor them to maintain accuracy.
8. Demonstrate understanding of big data ecosystems and expertise with big data platforms, such as Hadoop and Spark.
9. Understand concepts of analyzing business risk, making improvements in processes, and systems engineering.
